    County Income Working Party

    Overview

We are inviting expressions of interest to join a new working party to explore different ways of increase the County's income

Why the Working Party is Required

The committee has identified a number of different programmes it wishes to pursue with the overall aim of increasing participation, the number of qualified coaches and referees and advertising the game to a wider audience.  Some of the iniatives will require effort over a number of years and will require ring fenced recurring income.  The income we generate now comes in the form of team fees to participate in the league, tournaments, Engand Squash rebate and funding grants from England Squash to the regions.

The current level of recurring income is not sufficient to implement the programmes to the level we think is required make a siginificant impact on achieving out goals.

It is clear, given the current climate, that at some point in the future funding England Squash recieves from Sport England may disappear altogether

We are looking for people who have experience in the area of generating income but more importantly people who can bring a fresh pair of eyes and energy to a problem that sport and other organisations all around the country are facing.

    How it Will Work

The working party will consist of 2 members from the committee and anyone from the membership interested in joining this working party.  It will be led by Duncan Higgins, Treasurer.

    It will:

    1. Look at examples from other counties no how they generate income
    2. Look at the current means of generating income
    3. Explore any idea for generating additional income
    4. Make recommendations back to the county

Any actions that require approval by the County will be presented at the next AGM.  The working party will consult widely with the membership of the county through whatever means it sees fit, from publishing articles on the BaD site to creating survey.   The purpose of the consultation will be to ensure that everyone in the county has a the chance to offer their thoughts/comments/suggestions and that everyone will have a clear understanding of what could be proposed at the AGM and that broad agreement already exists.

Closing Date For Expressions of Interest

If you have an expertise in this area or a desire to help out please contact Duncan Higgins via email: [email protected] by Sunday 17 December 2017 so that it can start work in the New Year.
