    Introducing SquashLevels.com

I've been working on an evolution of the badsquash levels and ranking system to turn it into a National one. My vision is that everyone who plays squash in the UK (and potentially beyond) will have a level which accurately reflects how well they are playing - just like we all have in the BAD league.

The idea is that the various league systems around the country feed their match results into SquashLevels so there's a single system which can be used for calculating and showing levels for all players across the county. This will mean that players will be able to answer that fateful question - how good are you? - wherever they are from.

So far I have Avon, Somerset, Surrey, Kent, NW Counties, Yorkshire and all the PSA tournamant and PSL results and there's growing interest across quite a few other counties to the point that it is, indeed, being backed to be used as a National system.

Please have a look. You'll find all your results are already on there and you can either go via the home page - www.squashlevels.com - or via the 'Lookup on Squash Levels' button on your own match history on badsquash. If you play in more than one county you'll find all your results combined (if I have them) giving you a more complete history.

In most cases your level on SquashLevels will be very similar to that on badsquash but for those multi-county players and those who play PSA or PSL will have a much more accurate level.

If you like what you see then do please 'like' the site on Facebook. There's a 'like' icon at the top of each SquashLevels page.

Here are some interesting questions you can find answers to on the site:

    • How good are the PSL players playing Tuesday night? Can you predict the winners?

    • How does the standard of Surrey compare with Avon?

    • Who is the best player in the world right now and just how good are they?

    • Who is the best female player in the world and how good is she? How would she fare against the men?

I'm in the process of implementing 'most improved' and 'best ever' for SquashLevels. I can't use the one we have on badsquash because, with over 330,000 results on the system, it takes too long but once done we'll be able to find out:

    • Who is the best ever player since 2000. Any guesses?

    • Who is the most improved player out of the more than 20,000 on the system already? Is it an Avon player?

All good fun and fills a much needed gap in our sport.

    Cheers,

      Richard.
