league set up
(Gary Loughran)
Having looked at the end of spring season results, which seem to end up pretty much in team ranking order.
I would like to propose going back to 12 divison system with 2 up and 2 down.

It's kinda interesting that the league is going this way anyway. Because the As need to be above the Bs it naturally makes the A divisions a higher level than the B divisions. Looking at the average team levels in previous leagues this has also been the case. Hence I get asked if a team can be in the A, B or C stream because it matches their level better.
Maybe it's time to revert to a single stack - but allow the movement by two or three divisions at a time for promottion. It would simplify the arranging as well.
I've added it to the agenda.

Ah yes. I was getting mixed up between the season of two halves versus having parallel divisions.
I managed to leave this one off the agenda but I'll add it back on again.
The problem with 12 straight divsions is the lack of movement but you could have the top and bottom team moving two divisions and the 2nd and 5th moving 1.

Rich you can still have the same number of teams in each division and still run a winter and spring season.

It is a bit confusing when for example division 2 you have 3 winners then best runner up. Straight forward 12 divisions with up and down would be easier. Discuss at agm

I personally like the two halves because it allows for much faster movement for teams. The uni teams are always too high or to low. As it is we get 10 matches, then promotion (or otherwise), another 10 matches and more promotion (or otherwise).
Only downside is you play 5 other teams instead of 9.
